I slacked off a bit in keeping up with Ronald McDonald House Charities “Countdown Around Town” countdown to the opening of the new Ronald McDonald House near the Lurie Children’s Hospital. So in case you haven’t been following the official countdown site here’s what you’ve missed…..

Marie is the mother of 8 year old Lexi (scroll down) and a recent guest of the Ronald McDonald House near Children’s Memorial Hospital.

Our two boys, Jack & Conner made the countdown on Easter Sunday…..

Nancy Heap and Soo Shim are two of Children’s Memorial Hospital’s Family Services counselors, who help place families coming to Children’s Memorial at the House so they are able to enjoy a “home away from home” while their children are receiving treatment at the hospital.

8 year old Lexi is a recent guest of the house, in addition to being a healthy cancer survivor!

Wedding slideshows are a great way to experience your wedding photographs long after your wedding day has passed. However it dawned on me earlier this year that if a couple doesn’t have a videographer at their wedding, the speeches and toasts presented at the wedding reception are often lost, only to be remembered as a distant memory when a couple looks back on their wedding day. So rather than limit a wedding slideshow to photographs from the wedding day, what if you could also re-live some of the words that were spoken as well? The video above is from Laura & Kevin’s wedding earlier this year, and is one example of how incorporating the speeches into a slideshow can work.

Typically it takes a couple of hours to charge all the batteries, clean all the cameras and lenses, format the memory cards, check, double check, and triple check that everything works, and pack up the bags for each wedding. Too bad it doesn’t just all happen this fast…….

Puja & Nikhill – Day Two

After a very cool evening at Puja & Nikhill’s Garba celebration, we kicked off the following morning and got ready to begin their traditional wedding rituals. Huge thanks go out to Robyn Martin of Studio R for working as my associate photographer on this wedding as well!

OK so obviously this group of photographs only gets us through the grooms baraat and not even to the start of the ceremony…..check back in a few days for more of Puja & Nikhill’s wedding day photographs!
