A few weeks ago I featured a way to use composite images to eat up more empty wall space while still displaying a large number of images from a portrait session. Here’s another way to decorate your walls using a handfull of smaller 12×12 mounted images, and several floating shelves, available at outlets such as The Container Store
The beauty of this type of display is its versatility. Since the prints simply stand, or lean against the wall on the ledges, they are easily interchanged as you add new prints from each year’s session. Since we have 12 images currently on the wall, as Little Jack gets older we can display a fresh image from each year until he’s 12 years old…then we’ve gotta come up with a new plan!


What a great idea! I have such a hard time committing to a picture of the kids, this would be great to be able to switch things out.
