Go BIG

October 2, 2007

I LOVE big prints (and not just the ones of Baby Jack), however one way to get more bang for your buck with large prints is to have them printed on a stretched canvas.

Normally if you order an 11×14 print, you then have to find a 16×20 (or larger) matboard to mount the print in, and then select a frame to hold the matboard. With canvas, the entire size of the piece is comprised of the image (the image can even be wrapped around the edges of the stretcher frame), so you don’t lose any wallspace to the frame and/or the matboard. Canvas prints are also more convenient, they are ready to hang and display upon delivery.

It’s hard to get a sense of the size, but this one is 24×36, proudly on display in Jack’s nursery.

So if you have some empty wall space that’s just begging to host some new artwork, consider ordering your next set of family portraits on canvas.
